A word about the Unity situation

Hello guys,

So, as you know, Unity decided to make one of their worst decision lately by changing their pricing plans and introducing that Runtime Fee.

Infinite Library Nightmare (IL:N) and most of my other games are made with Unity.

At this point and time, this change don't affect me nor my games because I earn nothing from them, and they aren't popular, so I'm not at risk now. I will try to do my best to avoid killing my games because of companies' decisions.

That thing said, Infinite Library Nightmare (that game) may be the last game I'm making with Unity unless they wake up from their nightmare (pun intended)*. I'm still updating it, of course, I didn't release IL:N for letting it die, and I have good plans for that game in the future. IL:N is a game who I'm really proud of, and I want to see it grow maybe just a little. But I'm considering learning Godot, or continuing using raylib like Shelter, you know, for the future games...

* that's why this post is in Infinite Library Nightmare's devlogs

We're looking what the future deserves to us, but for now (and me) Unity is not a safe game engine for the long run, both financially and technically.

Just remember that I'm not throwing away Infinite Library Nightmare, for the few people that care.

Thanks for the kind people who took the time to read this, and have a great day !
